Often no — a lot of decks and pergolas fall under Exempt or Complying Development in NSW. We check the rules for your block at the quote stage and tell you either way. If approval is needed, we handle the lodgement.
Most decks run one to two weeks on site. A pergola or patio is usually one to three. You'll get an actual date range in the quote, and we tell you straight away if weather shifts it.
It depends on size, height off the ground, and material — but we won't leave you guessing. After the site visit you get one fixed number in writing, with the timber and hardware specified so you can compare it properly against anyone else's quote.
